Two Companies Instead of One

Personal

01/6/24

When I decided to leave my full-time job and pursue entrepreneurship, I never thought I would be the owner of two companies - yet here I am! I have Blue Mountain Jewelry and Bloom and Glow!

Blue Mountain Jewelry was my original concept and SO much changed since it's inception. What was initially going to be an online retailer for fine jewelry, found itself being invited to participate in open markets, like the First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe in Denver or the MycoJam, a mycology centered event in Denver, CO and so we really got comfortable with that and wanted to continue!

Bloom and Glow is a project that took a bit longer to conceptualize, but the work that has been done has been worth it! Bloom and Glow is a brand that I am so proud of and was born in order to celebrate people at every stage in their life!

Spring Awakens: Blue Mountain Jewelry at the Spring Art Fling

Spring is finally here, and with it comes new beginnings, fresh creativity, and the chance to connect with a new community. As I settle into my home in Asheville, NC, I am gearing up for my first event since moving—the Spring Art Fling at Reynolds Village on May 3, 2025! This will also be my first event since August 2024, making it an exciting return to sharing my work in person.

I have a collection of inventory from past events in Colorado, where Blue Mountain Jewelry found homes with art lovers at gatherings like the SAVA Fundraiser in Fort Collins, the First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe, and the Denver MycoJam, sponsored by Colorado Cultures. For MycoJam, I created a special line of mushroom-themed jewelry, which was a big hit in Colorado—but I have a feeling that North Carolinians will love them just as much!

Some of these pieces date back to my early days of jewelry-making, reflecting my journey as an artist. Over time, my craftsmanship and techniques have grown, and I’m thrilled to bring these pieces to my new community here in Asheville. Not only will I be showcasing past designs, but I’m also making room for fresh creations. That means you’ll find many of these unique pieces priced to sell—perfect for treating yourself or finding gifts for upcoming birthdays, holidays, and special occasions.

I’m also making shopping easier than ever with the addition of a card reader, along with the usual cash, Venmo, and PayPal payment options. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to my work, I can’t wait to see you at the Spring Art Fling. Let’s celebrate the beauty of handmade art, community, and the arrival of spring together!

See you on May 3 at Reynolds Village!

Spring Magic + Market Joy: Blue Mountain Jewelry at the Reynolds Village Art Fling

Spring was in the air, the sun stayed shining, and Blue Mountain Jewelry had its best market day yet at the Spring Art Fling at Reynolds Village!

We were thrilled to finally bring our setup to the vibrant Western North Carolina art scene, and this event did not disappoint. From start to finish, the energy was warm, welcoming, and full of creative buzz. It felt like the season itself was cheering us on and we soaked it up.

A Truly Special Day for BMJ!

This market was a huge milestone for us — not just in sales (though we’re still dancing about that!), but in connection. Seeing people’s faces light up as they explored our jewelry, hearing spontaneous giggles and excited chatter at the table… that’s the good stuff.

Whether it was someone discovering their new favorite earrings or simply admiring the handiwork in the spring light, the feedback was beautiful, honest, and real. That kind of connection is what makes all the behind-the-scenes hustle completely worth it.

Grateful for the Community

A big thank you to the incredible event sponsors, the fellow makers and vendors who brought their A-game, and of course — every single person who stopped by the BMJ booth. Whether you left with a new treasure or just shared a smile, you made our day.

Western North Carolina is bursting with talent and heart, and we’re honored to be a small part of it.

More to Come…

This is just the beginning of Blue Mountain Jewelry’s journey in our new home. With every market, we’re learning, growing, and bringing new energy into the pieces we create. We can’t wait to meet even more of you this season.

Until then - keep wandering, keep shining, and don’t forget: handmade magic is waiting for you!
